About Me
I have lived in England for 25 years and enjoy my life here. I am fascinated by cultural differences, and my personal experience as a minority in society has allowed me to empathize with those who “feel different from others.” I have gained a deep insight into what it feels like to “feel alone” and realized that anyone can experience this feeling, especially when it seems like no one can relate to their struggles.
During the early stages of my career, I had the chance to meet people from different backgrounds and listen to their unique stories of life and struggles. This experience made me realize the significance of having someone who listens to your story and how having a safe space to talk can have a positive impact on one's mental health. This motivated me to pursue a career in counselling.
To further my knowledge, I completed an integrated course that allowed me to learn about different models of counselling. It was during this time that I became particularly interested in the psychodynamic approach. This approach looks at our issues and life history at a deeper level, allowing us to become more self-aware and make better choices.
After six years of studying and training, I began working as a fully qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor at my private practice and also at Basingstoke Counselling Service, where I provide support to the local community.
I feel privileged to be part of people's journey to discover new possibilities to enhance their lives and find our counselling work meaningful and fulfilling.

Experience
I am here for you to bring anything you would like to talk about. I have worked with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and relationship problems. **
** I am not here to diagnose, nor will I give you advice and guidance. The work aims to understand and process what is underlying and what the symptoms mean for you. This can be a slower way of working; however, I believe our insightful work can help you come to terms with your current issues and discover new possibilities and choices to make positive changes.
