How I Work

A Typical Session

I am here to offer a warm and confidential space where you can freely express anything on your mind when you feel comfortable enough to do so. I will listen to you with empathy, understanding and acceptance, and help you explore your thoughts and feelings from different perspectives to gain a better understanding of yourself and make sense of your challenges.

 I provide once-weekly 50-minute face-to-face, online or phone sessions for adults aged 18 and above. My fee is £50 per session.

 In my private practice, I work from a caravan on my property, which is exclusively used for counselling work. The space is designed to make you feel safe and comfortable.


How Do We Begin?

It is crucial for you to find the right therapist, and I would like to ensure that what I offer is beneficial for you. Therefore, I offer a free 30-minute consultation over the phone or online. During this consultation, we can discuss your needs and determine if we are a good fit to work together. 

After this consultation, you can consider our discussion and decide whether you would like to start our weekly sessions. The session plan will be open-ended, meaning that we will not set a specific number of total sessions from the beginning.

My Aims

As a Psychodynamic therapist, my approach is focused on exploring your thoughts and feelings to uncover what may be hidden in your unconscious mind. By bringing these repressed and inhibited thoughts to the surface, we can work together to gain a deeper understanding of your challenges. In a safe, non-judgmental environment, you can talk freely about your experiences and emotions, and we can explore how your past may have shaped your present.

 I believe that many issues have their roots in childhood experiences, so I may ask about your family history and childhood memories to help identify any patterns or links. By gaining these insights, you can better understand yourself and find new possibilities and choices for moving forward in your life.
